Fast food jobs can be great when you're looking for your first real work experience, if you're interested in some part-time work on the side, or when you just need to land a job to make ends meet. These are the chains that pay the best hourly wages, according to Glassdoor.
If the thought of fast food wages has kept you from ever considering a job as a fry cook, you might be surprised when you see what some places offer. Ashley Lutz at Business Insider took a look at the wage data compiled on the job listing site Glassdoor to find out which fast food jobs offer the best wages. Here are the top five:
- In-N-Out Burger Associate: $11.17 an hour.
- Panda Express Counter Help: $9.01 an hour.
- Chipotle Crew Member: $8.78 an hour.
- Panera Bread Cashier: $8.40 an hour.
- Noodles & Company Noodle Ambassador: $8.31 an hour.
Jamba Juice, Chick-fil-A, Dunkin' Donuts, Five Guys, and McDonald's round out the rest of the list, all with comparable wages above $8 an hour. Jobs like these are nice because you can usually get hired with little to no experience required. If you're just beginning your working life, remember that everybody starts somewhere, and you might as well start with places that offer the best pay.
