Bake Mini Pies in Mason Jar Lids for Easy Crust Removal

Bake Mini Pies in Mason Jar Lids for Easy Crust Removal

You don’t need special pans to make awesome bite-size desserts. Mason jar lids make perfect mini pie pans—the removable insert in the lids make popping out the pies a cinch.

Cut your pie pastry about 1-inch wider than the mason jar lids and press it down into the lid. Then bake as usual on a cookie sheet, and once the pies are cool enough, press the bottom of the lid up and the pie crust will easily come off.
