When we're new to a job or a field, we spend a lot of time focusing on learning what's already being done. Koger is a great example of how being new to a process gives you the unique ability to think of innovative ways to tackle it. You may not get a $100 million company out of the deal, but you can bring a new perspective to your team.
Embrace doing your new job from a rookie perspective by thinking independently. Don't go against the grain and be a problem for your peers and bosses, but don't be afraid to think critically and pitch new ideas, do things differently, and bring something valuable to the team in the process.
