Travel is a blast, but it can also be really expensive. Thankfully, there are ways to save in every category of travel, from flights to lodging to activities. What are your best tips for traveling on a budget?
We've written about many of the different tips and tricks out there. But some of these work better than others, and we want to know which ones work for you. Or maybe there's a hack we haven't yet discovered—let us know what it is. What are the best, specific ways to travel on a budget, based on your experience? Try to format your answers like this:
- Category: Flights, Lodging, Car Rental, Activities, Food, etc.
- Your tip: And all the details about that tip. How to do it, when to do it, why it works.
- Savings: Generally, how much money you can expect to save with this tip? I know this might not be cut and dry, but give us a general idea—is it a big chunk of change, or will it give you a little extra pocket cash?
