Building a great presentation doesn't mean downloading a huge office suite. You have tons of options that are always-online, let you collaborate with others, and even break the slide deck mold. Last week we asked for your faves, then looked at the five best online presentation creation tools. Now we're back to highlight your favorite.
Love it or hate it—and there were definitely many of you on both sides of that coin—Prezi took the top spot by a wide margin and over 43% of the overall vote. The service's all-online nature, history of offering tools to create unique and dynamic, non-linear presentations (even if some of its users don't get that point), and its free/premium approach to features won many of you over.
Second place with just shy of 23% of the vote went to a more traditional contender with a few great bells and whistles, Google Slides. Those of you who supported it loved the fact that you can work on decks from any device, collaborate with other people, but still turn out a presentation that's informative and familiar without being a roller coaster, as it were. Third place went to the Keynote for iCloud Beta, with over 15% of the vote—essentially Apple's Keynote, just available online. Bringing in over 10% of the vote was Haiku Deck, a visual-oriented presentation service that's all online, free(mium), and offers great looking templates, art, and themes to help you make great looking presentations. Bringing up the rear in fifth place is the DIY/dev-friendly Reveal.js (and Slides.com), both of which offer you tons of tools to customize every aspect of your presentation whether you're a developer or not.
