If you've received a gift card you don't think you'll ever use, pay it forward. Give those gift cards to charity or a homeless shelter to help someone in need.
MarketWatch predicts that $750 million worth of gift cards will go unspent this year. Gift card donations may even be tax deductible depending on the non-profit you give them to. There's a high chance they can match the gift card with someone who actually needs it.
If you've still got gift cards you received throughout the year, or have some from last year's holiday season, don't let them go to waste. You can donate them to organizations like Goodwill, Plywood, or Works of Life.
