You Might Fall Back In Love with Your Job by Escaping Your Bubble

You Might Fall Back In Love with Your Job by Escaping Your Bubble

Escaping your bubble and ditching your comfort zone can help you find what you're really passionate about in life, but it can also make you realize you really do love what you're doing already.

Chasing passions might sound like some kind of head-in-the-clouds pursuit, but it's really just basic logic. Most of the time, you won't know if you like something until you try it. Scott Hanson at Entrepreneur explains that it can go both ways, though:

On the other side of the coin, trying a new job, industry or career might backfire: You might hate it and miss your old job. Whether or not you can go back to the way things were depends on many factors, but recommitting to your old industry or a similar position after trying something new can cause you to return a more committed, passionate person and eliminate the nagging "what ifs?" that were holding you back.

You're probably pretty sure about what you like, but shifting your perspective is useful no matter how you feel about branching out. You either find something you like more or realize that you're right where you belong. Look into volunteer work, do research on different jobs, and try to get your feet wet when you have the time. Escape your bubble and eliminate the unknowns.
