Re-reading old books can seem like a lot fun, but it actually can bring just as much value as reading a new book. You may have a completely different experience with them now that you've matured more than you did when you read them initially.
Being in a different space mentally means you can approach a book you've already read with a new perspective. Naturally, we're not suggesting that every book deserves to be re-read, especially if you really hated it the first time around. However, you may be surprised how a book that didn't resonate with you in high school English class may make a big impact on you once you're grown up with a life of your own.
