Make Your Own Homemade Candles for Cheap with Leftover Milk Cartons

A really nice candle can cost you nearly $30 in some stores, but you can create your own nice-looking candles at home using leftover milk and cream cartons for a few bucks apiece.

This video from the HouseholdHacker YouTube channel explains the simple candle-making process, as well as the ingredients you'll need to get started. After safely melting down the wax, picking some dye, and adding any scents you'd like, you just need some dairy product cartons. Cut the tops off the cartons, secure a wick of your choosing in the center, and pour the wax in. You can even layer up different colored waxes to make it more decorative, and you could use leftover wax from old candles if you have some around. Now you can get romantic and make your house smell nice for a lot less.
