Where It Excels
cPro does pretty much everything you need from a Craigslist app and it does it better than the web view. You can quickly search for Craigslist listings, post new listings, and save everything you search for to check in on later. The app is quick, easy to use, and doesn't include a lot of fluff so you can find what you're looking for. It's also a lot cleaner than the Craiglist web site and it's easier to use because it's properly formatted for mobile viewing. The map view makes searching for things like apartments super easy, and the grid view makes searching through items for sale a breeze.
If you're on the hunt for something specific, a $2.99 in-app purchase unlocks notifications for search queries so you're up to date on the most recent listings. That purchase also unlocks unlimited favorites and unlimited saved searches. Even without the upgrade, cPro manages pretty much everything you need from Craigslist.
Where It Falls Short
cPro is better looking and more intuitive than the Craigslist site, but it's still not going to win any design awards. The animations are bit clunky sometimes and the visuals aren't always consistent. The fact that the most useful features—notifications and unlimited favorites—are locked behind an in-app purchase is a bit frustrating as well, but it does make it so most people can access the app for what they need for free.
The Competition
Since Craigslist doesn't make an official app, you have a ton of different choices for apps. For a while, Mokriya (Free) was easily the best choice on the market, but a slew of recent updates made it unusable. It crashes a lot and doesn't display the descriptions when you click on a post. That said, if they can work out the technical issues, Mokriya is a great looking and easy to use Craigslist app.
If you prefer something more like the old newspaper listings, Daily ($1.99) is a great way to browse Craigslist. The interface is a lot like an old classified section of the newspaper, but the feature set includes just about everything you'll find in cPro, except for the notifications option. If visual design is more important to you than features, Daily is definitely worth a look.
CSmart ($2.99) is another good looking option that works a lot like cPro. You can set it up to get search notifications, save searches, group together search results, and favorite your listings. Unfortunately, you can't post new listings from the app, so it's not really useful for sellers.
